You'll also receive a leaflet containing lots of fascinating information about English Wine in general and this unique boutique winery at Sedlescombe in particular so that you can find out exactly what makes a biodynamic vineyard different.
Situated in the heart of the 'High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' you will see for yourself the fabulous rural views over the surrounding '1066 Country' fields and woods. Fancy a picnic? No problem, tables overlooking the vineyards are usually available.
However, your visit will not only involve vines, wines, and countryside, you will also see the Self-build house built in 1987 by the previous owners in just 3 weeks! Built as part of a training course for students of 'Self-build' the project was so unusual that it was featured on TV and in the Architects Journal of the day, You can see the photo display showing this unique construction.
There are also the 1940's 'Dragon's Teeth' Defence of Britain anti-tank blocks recently restored by the Sussex Military Archeological Society visible around the vineyard. A large sign has been erected to tell the story of this remarkable endeavor.
